The insulation meter is equipped with a large 3.5" color TFT screen. The insulation meter offers, in addition to different measurement modes: insulation resistance, earth resistance, loop impedance, voltage, measurement of low ohm values and RCD test. Thanks to the insulation meter, you will be able to check that fixed installations are placed correctly and safely. Thanks to its large screen, its intuitive symbols and its high degree of vision , you will be able to carry out an easy and quick measurement.
Thanks to the low frequency ohmmeter of the insulation tester, you can check the outlets earth, equipotential bonding bars and protective conductors for low frequency. The low impedance measurement sampling frequency of the insulation meter is 0 to 2000 Ω with a resolution of 0.001 to 1 Ω. The main use of the device is the measurement of insulation resistance. For insulation measurements, the electrical lines are tensioned to allow leakage currents to pass, which generally generate temperature. In most cases, current leaks are so small that they are usually not detected by safety devices, but in the worst case can cause a fire.
The insulation tester can measure installations with a test voltage of 125 V, 250 V, 500 V and 1000 V. The test current is generally less than or equal to 1 mA. The insulation tester is grounded independently of the power supply. To connect all the installations and circuits of an energy system to a common potential and to protect against short circuits and overvoltages, the earth resistance must have the lowest possible impedance. With a range measuring from 0 to 2000 Ω and a resolution of 0.01 to 1 Ω, the insulation tester therefore offers all the conditions for a meaningful measurement of earth resistance.
