The current call of converters and converters/loaders is often still important (0.1 A or more) after a low voltage stop. The remaining current will damage the battery if the converters or converters/loaders are connected to the battery after a low voltage stop for a long period of time.
BMS batteries are installed with an integrated balancing function, temperature and voltage control (BTV). Up to 10 batteries can be installed in parallel and up to 4 batteries can be connected in series (the BTV easily connects in series), and thus a 48 V battery bench up to 2000 Ah can be assembled.
The BTV installed in series must be connected to a battery management system (BMS).
Battery Management System (BMS)
The BMS is connected to the BTV and its main functions are:
1. Disconnect or turn off the charge whenever the battery cell voltage drops below 2.5 V.
2. Stop the charging process whenever the battery cell voltage exceeds 4.2 V.
3. Turn off the system whenever a cell temperature exceeds 50oC.
