Phoenix 24/25 (2+1) 120-240V - VICTRON
Description
Victron Energy's Phoenix Battery Charger is a high-frequency battery charger. Microprocessor steering ensures a particularly precise battery charge.
The Phoenix charger microprocessor manages the duration of each loading step (Bulk - Absorption - Float - Watch) and automatically adapts to the initial discharge state of the battery. This load management mode comes from the "adaptative" technology developed by Victron Energy.
Product guarantee: 5 years
Technical specifications
Depending on the battery discharge rate, the Phoenix charger automatically adapts to ensure full battery charging.
An important module in battery management and present on the Phoenix charger, the "BatterySafe" mode that avoids premature battery deterioration during large loads.
This charging mode allows to inject a high current associated with a high absorption voltage, but limits the progression of the voltage once the gas voltage is reached.
A watch mode is active as long as the battery is not put into use for 24 hours.
In order to minimize the gas and corrosion of the positive plates, the charger will reduce the voltage from 2.3V to 2.2V per cell or a 13.2V voltage for a 12V battery.
In order to avoid premature aging of batteries, the voltage is raised weekly, which prevents a stratification of the electrolyte and battery sulphate.
To further improve the load quality, Victron Energy's Skylla-i chargers are equipped with 2 probes:
- A first control finger measures the battery temperature to avoid a voltage overload. Depending on the temperature raised, the Skylla-i charger will automatically adjust its load.
- A second probe is present and raises the tension at the battery terminals. This avoids any errors due to losses in the main wiring.
Phoenix chargers are compatible with a continuous power supply of 90 to 400V.
The entire Phoenix range can through the RS485 communication port communicate with a computer. The user manual (available for free on our website) will allow you to customize all your Phoenix charger settings.
